Fiza Pathan’s blog review of Nikos Kazantzakis’s Saint Francis: God’s Pauper — first published on insaneowl.com on 14 March 2013 — is cited in the body text of Free Spirit: A Historical Novel on the Life of Nikos Kazantzakis, the doctoral thesis of Dr Demetris Bogiatzis, submitted to the University of Surrey, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, School of English and Languages, on 1 March 2018, and supervised by Dr Paul Vlitos and Dr Dimitris Asimakoulas.

Two direct quotations from Fiza’s review appear in the chapter analysing Kazantzakis’s portrayal of St Francis of Assisi, set alongside citations of established Kazantzakis scholars including Lewis Owens, Nick Trakakis, Dimitris Tsinikopoulos, and Varvara Tsaka:

“Reviewing the novel, Fiza Pathan contends that Kazantzakis ‘brings out the true side of Saint Francis of Assisi… the struggling man to become one with his creator’.”

“While acknowledging that the characters are fictional creations moulded by the author, who has also ‘added many stories from his own imagination at times’, Pathan nevertheless asserts that ‘they all did exist, this is history, and this is fact’.”

Conceived UDIL, an original pedagogical framework extending CAST’s Universal Design for Learning from the curriculum layer to the interface layer. Designed UAIE™, the working software implementation of UDIL, deployed across seven distribution platforms: Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons, Mozilla AMO, Amazon Appstore (Android), Google Play, Microsoft Word add-in, and the WordPress integration on this teaching portfolio.

The provisional patent specification — titled “A System and A Method for Adaptive Multi-Modal Transformation and Presentation” — was filed at the Indian Patent Office on 29 April 2026 under Application Number 202621054517, through Vakilsearch (Zolvit) under registered patent agent Shri Shashi Ranjan ji [IN/PA — 5646]; the complete specification is to be filed within twelve months. Four UAIE trademark applications, in the personal name of Fiza Pathan, were filed at the Trade Marks Registry, Mumbai, on 13 April 2026 through LegalWiz: Applications 7653558 and 7653559 (Classes 41 and 42 respectively, Receipt 5078234), and Applications 7653575 and 7653576 (Classes 41 and 42 respectively, Receipt 5078248) — all four presently awaiting examination.
