Known Issues & Remediation Plan

Image alt text on blog posts: A small number of blog post images may lack descriptive alt text. A systematic audit is planned for May 2026. Priority: Medium.

liblouis Grade 2 UEB upgrade: The current Braille engine is a client-side JavaScript implementation. Upgrade to liblouis 3.29.0 via Netlify serverless function is planned for May 2026, which will improve contraction accuracy. Priority: Low.

Video captions: Two video interview pages currently rely on platform-provided captions (YouTube auto-captions). Manual caption review is planned. Priority: Low.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL 3.0) Alignment

Multiple Means of Representation: Text, audio (TTS), Braille (BRF), DAISY talking books, sign language (BSL/ISL), plain language (AI), and cognitive load display.

Multiple Means of Action and Expression: Keyboard navigation, switch access (dwell-click), touch screen, mouse, and screen reader support across all interactive elements.

Multiple Means of Engagement: Accessibility profiling by learner need (dyslexia, motor, visual, cognitive, deaf), neurodivergent sound environments, and Bloom’s taxonomy complexity controls.

If you experience any accessibility barrier on this website, or if you require any content in an alternative format, please contact Fiza Pathan directly. All accessibility requests will be responded to within five working days.
